The Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program started in November 2008 and aims at inspiring the young physicians to devote their lives to promote health of mankind, as well as creating young health science researchers with cooperation between the Foundation and the Thai and overseas medical/health institutions. It will also promote the globalization of the medical education system in Thailand, and facilitate medical progress, as well as promoting the understanding of the cultural differences in health, education, administration and research.
This year five of those young physician scholars have finished their research/training in the interesting fields under supervision of outstanding mentors of the prominent institutes. They have come back and work at the hospitals outside and in Bangkok. In this conference, they will present their works and experiences of the 12-month time period that they have spent for their important task. They will also present the plan of extending the benefits of their project to Thai people and the mankind in both oral and poster presentations.
