BACKGROUND :
UNDP, along with partners, is beginning to explore opportunities for planetary health demonstration projects at the country level in the Asia-Pacific region. Given that many relevant partners will be at PMAC 2018, the hope is to organize a planning meeting to discuss a possible workshop to take place in mid- to late-2018.
OBJECTIVES :
To plan a two day high-level scoping workshop with the working title of “Planetary Health: Moving from Concept to Action in the Asia-Pacific Region”. The event will bring together representatives of international organisations (including UNESCAP, WHO, UN Environment, UNICEF, CBD) and academic, civil society and policy stakeholders from selected Asia-Pacific countries. The engagement of the PMAC Secretariat will also be welcome.
